Today I am grateful for:
- The new bike lane up the street. It’s awful to drive or park near, but it’s been great for my morning walking/jogging routine. There’s a concrete curb between the bike lanes and car lanes, so I feel a lot safer to run there in the dark.
- My healthcare team. Even through the pandemic and what I know are increased demands and precautions they’ve been there for me just a phone call or email away. Even as I’m wracked with self-pity and worry, I at least feel safe and validated.
- My strength. I’m a pretty nervous creature by default but I am proud of myself for those moments (more frequent than I give myself credit for) when I stand up for myself and assert my boundaries and claim my own power. I can be quite a terrible and awesome being.
