183// Something is Different

Today I am grateful for:

  1. The new month. I’m ready to move on to the second half of the year. A fresh start is just what I needed. I don’t expect to hit the ground running as fast as I’d hoped. Chronic fatigue and depression are rearing their ugly heads, but the idea of a fresh start is working wonders for my motivation.
  2. Gatorade. I think half my problem has been dehydration. One weird effect of chronic illness is you get so used to feeling cruddy that lose the ability to feel when you need simple things like sleep, food, or water. A dose of electrolytes every morning has been a big difference.
  3. Midweek. Even when you are off of work, the middle of the week is still a satisfying milestone to reach. If nothing else it’s nice to know that though the days have been looking very much the same time still is moving forward.
