271 // Bond and Blur

Today I am grateful for:

  1. Pho. It’s been a long time since I’ve ordered from our local Vietnamese place and damn have I missed it. Pho isn’t exactly a summer dish for me but the weather has turned grayer and cooler and the time for rich soup and broths.
  2. My desk. Just since cleaning up the space yesterday I’m already feeling eager to return to the chair and get to work. While my wife gave in to jet lag I took some time to transcribe a few notes and start a list of upcoming post ideas. It wasn’t much, but it was a start and damn it felt good!
  3. Lovecraft Country on HBO. This show never fails to disappoint in plot, historical context, visuals, and even soundtrack. I don’t know what I’m going to do when—three Sundays from now—the show comes to an end. My Sundays will simply never be the same.
