Today I am grateful for:

  1. Ice packs. My knee started to swell almost immediately after we got back from our walk, but this ice pack feels amazing. I think I’ll stay like this, propped up in the corner of the couch with this ice pack under my knee for the rest of the evening.
  2. The quiet looping roads in my neighborhood. We don’t have to walk far to get the miles in and with so many people staying it it feels like we’re the only ones left in the world. It’s a different kind of freedom.
  3. My bosses at work. Since my promotion I’ve become privy to the communications of those higher than me and though our return to work has been postponed I can see they are hard at work trying to figure out the best way, the safest way to bring us back.
