158// I’m Already So Different

Today I am grateful for:

  1. My grandmother. Today is her birthday and though the guilt of my neglect is weighing heavy, I’m happy to have called her to check in, to say hi, to hear her voice, and to know how much I am loved by her. She means so much more to me than I show and I need to start showing it.
  2. Not having to look at that old ugly evaporative cooler grill ever again. The new air conditioner hasn’t even been put in yet, but just having a gaping hole in the house feels like a major improvement already.
  3. Having nowhere to go. A month ago I thought I would go crazy if I didn’t get to go out to a restaurant or to the movies soon but now that everything is starting to open I find I’m perfectly content to stay home where it’s safe.
