Today I am grateful for:
- Bagels and lox. I’m always grateful for this delectable little dish but since learning how to cure my own salmon I’m further grateful that I get to indulge as often as I like without the sticker shock that comes with prepackaged smoked salmon.
- My family. I’ve missed having regular family days over the past three months or more and today’s visit, though short, reminded me how much I need to be engaged in the lives the people who I know and know me, who I love and who love me back.
- My smartwatch. This little piece of technology continues, paradoxically, just what I needed to put some distance between me and the digital world. It’s so limited, but in all the right ways.
