Today I am grateful for:
- Laughter. Have you ever been with a group of friends that were having so much fun you made other people uncomfortable? Have those friends ever been your coworkers too? There are more ways than one to be rich and when it comes to friendship, respect, and laughter I am rolling in it.
- Working in the same industry as my wife. I know a lot of people hate to bring work home with them either physically, emotionally, or mentally, I enjoy both working from home and talking or venting about with my wife. We no longer work for the same district, but we both work in the same department at our respective districts. I love sharing ideas, comparing and contrasting strategies, and seeing the work both of us are putting out there. It’s very inspiring and motivating.
- Tears. All days have good and bad, and this one was no different. I began with laughter and gratitude and ended with tears and hopelessness. Chronic illness has turned my life upside down and coping is getting harder and harder. I needed the release of a good cry. Now I’ve had it. Now I’ve gathered myself again and readied for the next fight.
