Today I am grateful for:
- Coworkers who are real friends. I’m often grateful for this one. It makes it so much easier to get through the hard days when you can laugh, relax, and trust that the people who carry the heavy load with you have your best interest and care in mind.
- Cleaning as a kind of meditation. I used to hate cleaning but as I get older, I’ve found that making time to organize your spaces clears your mind and relaxes the body and making time to do it is as critical as any other self-care act.
- Hearing about my wife’s work. I don’t always understand exactly what challenges and successes she goes through or achieves but I love hearing about her days, how much she is respected, how hard she works, and how she manages to problem solve situations I wouldn’t have the faintest idea how to navigate.
